About Dr. Burch and Jessica


Candace: Candace is a Hormone Health Educator with a Masters degree in Health Education and 25+ years experience in hormone testing and education. She founded Your Hormone Balance in 2017 with her daughter, Ryan, and co-hosts the Women Talking Frankly Podcast with Kyle McAvoy, NP.


In the early 2000s, Candace was mentored and trained in hormone testing, evaluation and rebalancing by David Zava (Ph.D., founder of ZRT Laboratory), a prominent biochemist and breast cancer researcher. Over the next decade, she worked alongside Dr Zava and John Lee, M.D. (authors: “What Your Doctor Might Not Tell You About Breast Cancer”) and collaborated with pioneering researchers and physicians like Dr. Kenna Stephenson, M.D. (lead researcher of the CHOIICE study), CW Randolph, OB-GYN (author: “From Hormone Hell to Hormone Well”), James Wilson, N.D., (author: Adrenal Fatigue, the 21st Century Stress Syndrome), as well as compounding pharmacists, functional medicine doctors and prominent thought leaders.



Soon after, Candace helped develop the first hormone testing and rebalancing weight loss program (at Metabolic Research Center), before founding her private consulting practice.


Today, she lives in McMinnville, Oregon with her husband Dave, and spends her free time sketching, watercolor painting, reading, traveling, dancing, taking long walks, swimming, spending quality time with loved ones, and making sure that every day is filled with purpose, love and zest for living!


Jessica: Jess is a board certified holistic health & mindset coach who helps her clients step in the 2.0 version of themselves! She believes that in order to change our habits we must address the “holistic picture” and compassionately investigate how all areas of our lives are interconnected. Jess spent over a decade yo-yo dieting, exercising for punishment and ignoring the messages her body was sending her. When she discovered the power of mind- body connection and nervous system regulation in healing the body, she decided to become a Holistic Health Coach via the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, and dedicate her time to helping women gain greater confidence and self trust, reconnect with their cyclical bodies and step into their higher self to manifest a “rich” life! Today, she coaches clients via her private coaching program and works in partnership with her family business, Your Hormone Balance to help clients learn how to embrace their cyclical nature! She also hosts the Solo 2.0 Podcast, a health & wellness focused podcast with her sister, Rye Burch.

Cynthia Makimoto is a dedicated fitness coach and founder of the Menopause And You Summit, committed to empowering women with the knowledge and tools to navigate menopause with confidence and vitality.

Her journey began nearly 20 years ago when she faced overwhelming challenges—including fatigue, weight gain, brain fog, mood swings, and emotional distress—without realizing she was experiencing menopause. With the support of a specialized healthcare team, including experts in hormonal health, acupuncture, chiropractic care, nutrition, and integrative medicine, she transformed her well-being and embraced a holistic approach to health.

Now, at 62, Cynthia continues to prioritize mental, emotional, and physical wellness while guiding other women on their own journeys. Through her coaching and summit, she provides invaluable insights, resources, and support to help women feel their best at every stage of life.
